“The work in this show is a selection from my previous garden themed shows. I grew up with parents who are gardeners and this was a major part of my youth.

For one show, I created Victory Garden posters and called this, “Local Victory.” The work was influenced by propaganda created during WWII for people to grow food at their homes to help the war effort.

Another show explores my father’s garden journals and I researched the seeds that he chose to grow in my youth. I tried to find these today and it was amazing to learn that some of these varieties are no longer available to the public.

My “Seed Olympics” show was based off of a video that I created of my seeds starting to grow. The seeds represent the players in the growing Olympics.
